Hole #13
 |
Par 3
Handicap #16 |
With a 65-foot drop in elevation from tee
to green, your club selection here is most important. While visually
intimidating, this hole will play easier than it looks. Your tee
shot here is all carry and depending on the prevailing winds there could
be as much as a 3 or 4 club difference in your club selection. You
can bail out to the left and the desert is playable there - trust your
club selection and go for the pin. |

Hole #14
 |
Par 4
Handicap #4 |
Keep your tee shot left-center on this
hole. The right-side desert cannot be played from. Take a
one-stroke penalty and drop your ball. Driver again may not be your
best choice off the tee. The natural desert wash fronting the green
and a few greenside bunkers add some challenge to your approach shot.
Hit your landing area off the tee and enjoy the scenery. A large
green awaits a mid-iron to short iron approach. |

Hole #15
 |
Par 4
Handicap #2 |
This is the signature hole and the number
one handicap hole on the back nine. This severe dog-leg left will
tempt you to cut the corner but a large lake awaits those who try and
cheat the hole. Even if the prevailing wind is in your face, leave the
driver in your bag. The fairway runs out at 245 yards from the tips.
Carry a long iron over the bunker on the left and you will have a mid-iron
shot to the green. Your approach shot is all important on this hole.
The green is surrounded by water on three sides with plenty of room in
front and a bail out on the left. Your approach shot is visually
intimidating but a large receptive green awaits a well-struck shot. |
